Questions people ask
- Tappy's button is not showing up
- Reload the Gmail, Outlook, Zoho Mail or LinkedIn tab after installing. Tappy only runs on those four sites, and the button appears once a reply or compose box is open.
- I get an error when I generate a draft
- This is almost always the API key. Open the Tappy popup, re-paste the key for your provider, and check that the account has credit. Free keys from Groq or OpenRouter are also supported.
- Where is my API key stored?
- In your browser, on your device. It is passed through to your provider when you generate a draft and is never stored on our servers.
- How do I change tone, length or intent?
- Use the controls in the Tappy panel before you generate, or set your defaults in the extension popup so every draft starts from your preferences.
- How do I remove Tappy?
- Right click the Tappy icon in Chrome and choose Remove from Chrome. That deletes everything stored locally, including your key and preferences.
